I have a
Google Jelly Bean Android

Polaris-eng 4.2.2 8089 20140106 Tablet

I am getting a message that the process.android.process.acore has stopped.

I have tried all the ways of resetting, and finally decided to do a "Factory data reset", but found that the keypad does not popup so I cannot enter my PIN to proceed.

I can also get into recovery mode OK but when I get there and select to wipe and reset and get asked if I want to proceed I cannot change the NO command to YES. Is there any way to toggle between NO and YES without a keyboard ?

Is there any way of resetting this Android externally.

I have saved all the data I want so the Android can be fully wiped and reset if that is possible.

Any help appreciated

It sounds like the software on your phone is corrupt, I suggest that you send it off to where you bought it & have them re-install the android software on it again.

Hi Nightfall,

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I purchased via Ebay and the vendor has disappeared.

After checking on line it would appear that it is possible to obtain "images" to update with, but I do not know which might suit my Android.

By the way it is a Tablet and not a phone.

Hi,

Cache and data clear on the Playstore, but keep coming back on the Play Services.

Should I Disable, or Force Stop, or Uninsall updates?

Regards

Hi,

I have unistalled the updates, and also gone through to delete the cache and data on the other apps, but still the same problem.

The biggest problem is that the keypad will not popup, so I cannot do a proper reset.

Thanks anyway for your time and help, I was hoping to find an "image" that I could copy onto the Tablet, I have found few but do not know if they are correct for my Android.

Nice idea but cannot get into the app store, the keyboard does not pop up to let me enter the password.

Can't do anything without the keyboard. Everything I try need a keyboard.
