Hello, I apologise if I posted this in the wrong section.

Recently I bought minecraft from minecraft.net, I downloaded minecraft.exe but when I open it it says Publisher could not be verified do you want to run this and i press run, then it goes to the launcher and it starts downloading the libraries. When i look to the launcher log it says attempting to download then an error couldn't download.

Second problem, yesterday i downloaded cabal online, installed just fine but the launcher fails to update.
And third league of legends wont run after i press launch.
I include some screenshots i hope it will be more clear.

Thank you in advance

:welcome:   Cimmunity,

I`m not a gamer so not familiar with the download sites you refer to but can I ask what security arrangements you have in place, security settings in your browser, your AV and Firewall settings for example could be blocking the downloads as Windows is by questioning your Minecraft download due to it not being digitally signed by the publisher.

Hello Cimmunity,

Using the internet without an AV or Firewall is a recipe for disaster I`m afraid and there is a chance that your computer is infected, if this looks likely I will provide you with the GTG malware redirection information where initially you can check this for yourself.

First of all I suggest that you install a very good and free AV such as Avast : Scroll to the bottom of the page, Under Home click on All Products and Special Offer > Scroll down to avast! Free Antivirus and then click on the download tab to the bottom right here

See if you can download Speccy (free) then run it and post the resultant url for us, details here this will provide us with your hardware information + list any services that are running or stopped that may be causing the issue.

You are welcome btw  :)

I note that you download torrents (uTorrent.exe) are you aware of the risk of malware infection from torrents.

Due to the lack of AV protection and the presence of torrents it is best that I provide the malware redirection information before suggesting anything further here;

I suspect that you have some malware on your computer causing issues that we are not able to solve through means we can use here in the Tech Forums. I suggest you read the 'Start Here' topic found here. With these self-help tools you have a high chance of fixing the problems on your own. If you are still having problems after following Step 3 of the guide, continue with Step 4 and 5 and post in the Malware Forum. If you are unable to run any programs, Please create a topic stating what you have tried so far and that you are unable to run any programs. Also, Please do NOT post the logs in this thread.

If you are still having issues after the malware expert gives you a clean bill of health, Please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
