I ran a LatencyMon scan and I need help shutting down CPU throttling. I use Live 9 so it really interferes with the CPU on playback. I copied the report of the scan here.

CONCLUSION
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Your system appears to be having trouble handling real-time audio and other tasks. You are likely to experience buffer underruns appearing as drop outs, clicks or pops. One or more DPC routines that belong to a driver running in your system appear to be executing for too long. At least one detected problem appears to be network related. In case you are using a WLAN adapter, try disabling it to get better results. One problem may be related to power management, disable CPU throttling settings in Control Panel and BIOS setup. Check for BIOS updates.
LatencyMon has been analyzing your system for  0:10:45  (h:mm:ss) on all processors.

MEASURED INTERRUPT TO USER PROCESS LATENCIES
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The interrupt to process latency reflects the measured interval that a usermode process needed to respond to a hardware request from the moment the interrupt service routine started execution. This includes the scheduling and execution of a DPC routine, the signaling of an event and the waking up of a usermode thread from an idle wait state in response to that event.

Highest measured interrupt to process latency (µs):   81135.190698
Average measured interrupt to process latency (µs):   16.689927

Highest measured interrupt to DPC latency (µs):       7586.219353
Average measured interrupt to DPC latency (µs):       2.307377

 REPORTED HARD PAGEFAULTS
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Hard pagefaults are events that get triggered by making use of virtual memory that is not resident in RAM but backed by a memory mapped file on disk. The process of resolving the hard pagefault requires reading in the memory from disk while the process is interrupted and blocked from execution.

NOTE: some processes were hit by hard pagefaults. If these were programs producing audio, they are likely to interrupt the audio stream resulting in dropouts, clicks and pops. Check the Processes tab to see which programs were hit.

Process with highest pagefault count:                 msmpeng.exe

Total number of hard pagefaults                       13676

Gday.

Sorry for the long delay, your topic got a bit lost.

Please do a manual system restore, name it, Before Dell System Analyses, then go to the link below, perform the System Analyses, follow any prompts.  Let us know the results.

http://www.dell.com/...s-l502x/drivers

Next, do a manual system restore, name it, Before Dell Diagnostic. then go to the link below and perform the Advance, Complete Diagnostic.

http://www.dell.com/...-l502x/diagnose

If you have any difficulties running the tools in Chrome/FF, try using IE.

Hello,

Thank you for the response, after running the Dell system analysis it say that i should update the Intel Management Engine Interface Driver. After the diagnostic scan, it said everything was up to date but my warrenty is up. I have a Dell XPS 15 L502X early 2011.

Thanks for the update.

Set a manual system Restore, go to the link, download and install the Intel Management Engine Interface Driver > http://www.dell.com/...s-l502x/drivers

I am unable to find any guides where I can see the BIOS screens.   Can you look under power management and disable any settings that limit CPU performance, except, overheat thermal control.

Could be, "cool and quiet, speed step, enable all cores"

It's been quite a while since we heard from you.   Have you resolved your problem?   A update would be appreciated.

Thanks.
