I hope I can explain this ok, because I have really confused myself.  I have Dish network, so there is not a coaxil cable, the interent was not working so I went to Office Deport and got a Linksys EA6900 Smart Dual band AC Wireless router.  Do I need a modem too?  I went and bought one and I cannot figure out how to set it up - since there isn't a cable only the ethernet cord, when I plug that into the modem then try to hook the modem to the Linksys wireless router I don't think they are "talking" to eachother.  I have managed to confuse myself sooo much.  I may be over thinking this and might not need all the stuff I bought.  Would really appreciate any help.  THANKS
