I told a friend I would see if I could get her some help with a computer problem. The computer started freezing up a few months ago and has got progressively worse and now completely crashes leaving a black screen! checked for virus and spyware nothing detected, the comp can't even stay alive long enough anymore to run a full scan and dies after 30 mins, but can stay alive for a few hours at times. Took it to a tech guy, cos it felt like overheating, he cleaned the fans and reset the heatsink? as far as he's concerned it's doesn't seem to be a hardware problem
it mostly crashes with games, scanners but can also be unpredictable, any ideas?Here's a hijack this log, what other info would be useful? I can also post a 'SANDRA' report for comp specs but don't know what info I should leave out of it regarding her machine info, like host name? not v savvy!!
