My boyfriend is crazy into computers and all things electronic, I am buying him a acer aspire axc-603g-uw15 for Christmas and was wondering if this particular computer is a good one for a LARGE music collection and for working from home (excel, power point etc.)

I was also wondering if anyone knew if this computer is Linux compatible.

thank you to anyone who can help me out with this!

:welcome:    savanna12,

For the usage that you mention the computer will be fine, it is not by any means a gaming computer though if that also needs to be considered.

Linux will also run fine on the computer but there are other points to consider with this such as dual booting etc, if your boyfriend uses Linux on a regular basis he will be able to handle that aspect.

JAFYI: This forum is not for addressing computer related issues and your question would have been better post on the System Building and Upgrading here no harm done though and I have hopefully answered your question satisfactorily.
