I have an issue with my pc. It's a dell optiflex gx620. I recently upgraded it to windows 7 but when I play pogo games, my system is so slow.

My first question is...would I be able to add more ram to the system. Would that make it faster?

My other question is would I need to add anything else to bring my pc up to date.

I did a virus scan and malware scan and it's clean so I know that is not the issue.

Thanks so much for your help.

Chrissy

Hello Chrissy,

Adding more Ram if possible is still the most cost effective improvement that you can make, to check your Ram options see below;

Use the Crucial system scanner tool to find the best recommended Ram for your system, no need to purchase from there, write down the details and shop around for the best deal, let us know what is suggested and we can also look for you.

Gday.

Consider as well, running the Dell Analyze your system, then The Diagnostic Complete Test and let us know the results, > http://www.dell.com/...0/configuration

This is the crucial scan

Although the memory can be installed one module at a time, the best performance comes from using matched pairs of modules.

Memory or DRAM is the "working" memory of the computer. It's used to store data for programs (sequences of instructions) on a temporary basis.

Storage:
Serial ATA support.

Storage drives -- hard drives and solid state drives -- are the permanent memory for the programs and documents on your computer.

Data transfer rate is the rate at which data can be sent or received. This is determined by your motherboard. A drive with a higher transfer rate will only run at the rate of the motherboard's transfer rate.

Cache is a type of working memory that allows the drive to perform faster.

RPM is the rotations per minute of a hard drive which effects the speed of data transfer.

Solid state drives are non-moving memory, so access speed is instant.

Graphics card:
Not Supported

External connector: 15-hole connector

Graphics card A circuit board fitted to a computer containing the necessary video memory and other electronics to provide a bitmap display. Adaptors vary in the resolution (number of pixels) and number of colours they can display, and in the refresh rate they support. These parameters are also limited by the monitor to which the adaptor is connected.
