Dear All,
I am a new win2000 user.
I just want to know how can i deselect my start up program.
Where is msconfig command in win2000.
when i put run--msconfig...I saw al msg like as below

" Cannot find the file 'msconfig'(or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available. "

Please help me

Howdy:

W2000 doesn't have msconfig so that is a very good reason for the error message!!

You can install it though from HERE!!

Hey,

For disabling startups I recommend using a program called Starter from CodeStuff. Also, I wrote a tutorial on MSConfig and what the things in it are for, etc... If you want to take a look:

Note: Even though you are using 2000, that still will teach you about it.

*Note: This is coming from using a WinXP machine, not sure if it'll be the same for Win2000, but it should *

You could also try using regedit. Start > Run > regedit

And navigate to the following:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run
