Hello...Everyone at the Geeks To Go forums.. I am a new member of this website and I would appreciate all of the positive suggestions and helpful advice that all of you tech geniuses feel free to give...****I Am A Card Carrying Member Of The Android-Operated Tablet Owning Community-My Story-Almost two years ago I purchased a Zeki Tablet..Everything worked fine..Until six months ago when I accidently dropped the tablet on the floor..twice..The external audio was still working until three days later when I could no longer hear any sound when I tried to listen to my music playlist..I attempted to find the cause of the problem by looking through the zeki tablet's system files and the many downloaded applications...I even pressed the reset button..Still no external audio...So I went to plan B. and plugged the tablet into my stereo receiver..Touchdown!..I can also hear the internal audio through my headphones when it is plugged into my tablet...**Tech Gossip-I have read on other websites where some people have suggested doing a hard factory reset to restore the external sound...I am not a computer expert and so I would like to find an easier solution...Tired of this wild goose chase!..Help!

Hello,Peter Carlos...Thank you for replying to my question about the loss of the external sound on my android powered Zeki tablet...Sorry that I took  two weeks to reply..to your reply!..I got caught up in the infinite wonders of cyberspace and momentarily lost track of my mission..You suggested that I back up the data on my tablet and do a factory reset....I hate to be overly dramatic but what you are suggesting sounds like the equivalent of major surgery...That may be a walk in the park for you being associated with the rapidsofttechnology.com website(I clicked on the link that you supplied in your reply to check out the website for a few seconds)but I am intimidated buy the idea...Of course I would be thrilled if I took your suggestions and they worked but I am stubborn and I still feel that I may have clicked on the box in one of the many free downloaded music player's settings section where it asked the confusing question did I want to stop the external speakers from playing when the headphones were plugged into the tablet..The reason why I think that it may be a software problem is because one of the music player apps on my tablet has an error message at the top of it's file system...It says "stopped"....Now, don't you think that is mysterious?...

Hello again... Peter...I am still on a wild goose chase to solve the mystery of the missing external sound on my tablet..I searched through the many music players that I have downloaded on my tablet and I could not find the one with the "stopped' error message at the top of the screen..I must have deleted it when I did my last tablet reset...Although I might have seen the message in one of the many file managers that I had downloaded..I add new players and managers and if they do not work out or I have to many of the same thing I will just delete them and download some more..Unfortunately,I did not back the old deleted apps up and I don't remember the name of the music player or file manager app that had the error message...Even though to me computers are far more complicated and confusing than tablets to navigatate  I know that on a computer if the sound goes out one just has to click onto the control panel, look for the audio sound, click on the words and boom...the sound is instantly restored!.....**Wild Geese Here I Come!...I keep searching the software on my tablet to find the key to the missing sound..I've searched through system files, sixty downloaded apps, system apps, music players and tablet information and do you want to know one reason why I have not succeeded in my quest to restore the sound on my Zeki, adroid powered tablet?..The number one reason is because I am not a computer expert and the number two reason is because I do not know what I am supposed to be looking for in the endless files that I have looked   through!....**True Cofessions...Right about now the idea of me trying the factory reset is not looking like such a high mountain for me to climb...I might as well try it and see what happens...How in the world could I have thought thatI I was not the adventurous type?..Factory reset, here I come!
