My USB Modem Is detected as Cd drive!

My mts usb modem is not working properly when i connect it to the laptop it shows as disk drive,Any answers would be helpful!!!!

Have you installed the drivers for the Modem beforehand? Have you checked windows update on the optional/Hardware tab and looked to see if there is a driver provided that way?
