Hi guys,

So basically my Dell laptop running windows 8.1 won't automatically connect to either my home or university wifi anymore. Whenever I want to connect I have to enter my login details each time. This happened once before and Dell sorted it, but now that my warranty has expired they're claiming it would have to be a software issue and I'd have to pay.

Does anyone know what might be causing this issue, my adapted is a Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230.

Thanks a lot

I used to work for IBM and they would have this problem too when computers were using Vista.

If you uninstall the driver and reinstall it, it should clear any of the settings however you may have to setup your wifi networks again, but it should resolve this issue.

Normally this type of problem is software related, so tech support was correct in that aspect.
