OK lets reset the IE that is on the system

Download Complete internet repair to your desktop


Once on the desktop unzip the folder :
Double click the file
Select extract all to desktop
Open that folder
Run CIntRepx64 and the following will appear

Select all elements as shown and press Go
On completion reboot and try the various browsers again

Still no luck in finding IE.... I looked everywhere! It is so weird that it just disappeared

Ok so I found IE under program files and created a shortcut from there....it seems to be working ok now. Thank you

And there is no sign of it in program files

OK go to Control Panel > Programs and Features
On the left select "Turn windows features on and off "
Wait for the list to populate
Remove the tick from IE
And OK out (reboot once it has done)

Then go back to Control Panel > Programs and Features
On the left select "Turn windows features on and off "
Wait for the list to populate
Place a tick in IE
And OK out (reboot once it has done)

Is IE now present and usable ?
