Sounds to me like your power supply has gone bad.

Yeah I think it is. It's been a dependable but touchy backup. Most power buttons-you push in for a few seconds and you're good. This one has to be hit quick almost like a poke-like less than a second. So I just tried it again and it booted up. So I'll get to finish what I was looking for.
Power supply or loose power button?? Thinking of just moving the hard drive until I can address whatever the ailment is. Changing a power supply will be another first.

Whenever a Dell's power light goes amber, it is reporting a PSU fault, (been that way even before GX-270s). Hope that you got your data off safe. It may not start again...

Yeah it's all backed up. Not too much on it. Basically just another internet connection in another room. Once I turn it on I leave it on for the day.
