My model laptop is compaq hp 6910

Last night my wi fi stopped working suddenly and now i cannot use it to get on the internet. I think it has to do with these old set of small speakers. I plugged them in to help make my sound better, it popped up this small box and i was in a  hurry and didn't pay any attention to what to said. I figured it was just acknowledging the speakers or something. So i just clicked ok and hurredly got it out of the way. It was then i suddenly noticed i had no signal. couldnt get on the internet at all. Iv used ti wirelessly for over a year now and its never done this before. iv tried the FN and F2 button as others have suggested and i get nothing. My wi fi light isnt lit up at all on the front. I even tried taking it back to a restore point to see if ti fixed- but no such luck. :( how do i get it back? and how did those stupid speakers mess my wi fi up?

Doubtful the speakers had anything to do with it. I suggest trying a System Restore to before this happened, see if that fixes the problem.
