Our laptop is Dell and desktop is HP. Both under 3 yrs old. We have slow startups and sometimes freeze and have to restart. Any suggestions?

With time, a lot of programs gets installed on a computer and a lot of files gets on the hard drive, which constantly add bloat to the system and slows its response time. Therefore, I would like to start by getting a list of the programs you have installed on both computers. Simply follow the instructions below in order to give me such lists.

• Download MiniToolBox from BleepingComputer.com (linking the website as it have a lot of useful tutorials, programs, etc. to see);
• Execute it by double-clicking on it;
• Check the "List Installed Programs" checkbox;
  
• Click on the "Go" button;
• Once the scan is complete, a log will open.
  
• Copy/paste (select the Notepad, press Ctrl + A then Ctrl + C to copy, and Ctrl + V to paste) the content of the output log in your next reply;

Hello it may be easier if you would create a seperate  thread for your laptop.

 

I would be glad to help with the laptop I would like the following info from it.

 

 

 Download Autoruns and Autorunsc Unzip it to your desktop and then double click autoruns.exe After the scan is finished then click on File>>>>>>>>>>>Save The default name will be autoruns.arn make sure to save it as Autoruns.txt under the file type option. in other words make sure it is a .txt file instead of .arn Attach the text in your next reply.

 

 

 

Please download MINITOOLBOX and run it.

I noticed that there's malicious programs installed on both your laptops. Before we proceed with your current issue, I suggest you to head in the Virus, Spyware, Malware Removal section to get these laptops checked, one by one, to remove all the malaware on them first, and then comeback in that thread after if the issue persists. In order to do that, here's what I would like you to do.

Read the the following thread in order to know how to create a thread in the malware removal section :

In that first post, where you include your OTL log, I would like if you could add a link to this thread, and precise that both laptops needs a check-up. This way, the helper who will assist you can decide how he wants to handle this situation. So post a single thread for one laptop, following the instructions in the thread I linked you and then wait for the reply of an helper.

If after both laptops gets checked and cleaned, the issues persist, you'll be free to comeback in that thread so we can assist you

No big deal I was just trying to help you out since they had logs from two machines, could have gotten confusing. If there are still issues after the malware removal I will be glad to help.

All good I was currently reviewing the logs and writing down which programs to uninstall when I noticed malicious programs, I was in the IRC with sari so I asked her if I should sent that person to the malware removal forum and she told me yes so I did haha
