Hi,

Lets take a look to the files...

Download SystemLook from one of the links below according to your OS Architecture and save it to your Desktop.
SystemLook (32-bit)
SystemLook (64-bit)

  • Double-click SystemLook/SystemLook_x64 to run it.
  • Accept the prompt Allow the program to make changes to this computer (UAC prompt)
  • Copy the content of the following codebox into the main textfield:
    :filefind
    services.*
  • Click the Look button to start the scan.
  • When finished, a notepad window will open with the results of the scan. Please post this log in your next reply.

Note: The log can be found on your Desktop entitled SystemLook.txt

Hi,

Try this: Press windows8_key.png + R
On the Run box type:

C:\Users\Ben\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\MMC\

Inside the folder MMC there is a file called services rename the file to services-old and try to access the services.msc applet.

Good. You are welcome :)

It seems some Windows Update installed new services.msc and related files, for some reason the new one didn't like some old definitions saved in your user profile.
