Hello,

Please up-date Adobe Flash player from Here
Un-check any pre checked software called optionals before downloading.

Up-Date Firefox browser
Click Help in the browser, then click about Firefox and update.

Your Java is out of date:
Note
Due to multiple security problems with Java we are now recommending that it not be installed unless you absolutely know you need it.

Thanks
Joe :)

Thanks.

I'll be around all day Tomorrow. Post back then and let me know. Actually you could run an on line scan for me called ESET. This scan may take a long time.

ESET Online Scanner

Note: You can use either Internet Explorer or Mozilla FireFox for this scan. You will however need to disable your current installed Anti-Virus, how to do so can be read here.
  • Please go >>HERE<< then click on: ESET1st.jpg

Note: If using Mozilla Firefox you will need to download esetsmartinstaller_enu.exe when prompted then double click on the ESETexe.jpg icon to install.

All of the below instructions are compatible with either Internet Explorer or Mozilla FireFox.
  • Select the option YES, I accept the Terms of Use then click on: ESETsave.jpg
  • When prompted allow the Add-On/Active X to install.
  • Make sure that the option Remove found threats is NOT checked, and the option Scan archives is checked.
  • Now click on Advanced Settings and select the following:
    • Scan for potentially unwanted applications
    • Scan for potentially unsafe applications
    • Enable Anti-Stealth Technology
  • Now click on: EOLS3.gif
  • The virus signature database... will begin to download. Be patient this make take some time depending on the speed of your Internet Connection.
  • When completed the Online Scan will begin automatically.
  • Do not touch either the Mouse or keyboard during the scan otherwise it may stall.
  • When completed make sure you first copy the logfile located at C:\Program Files (x86)\ESET\Esetonlinescanner\log.txt).
  • Copy and paste that log as a reply to this topic.
  • Now click on: EOLS4.gif
(Selecting Uninstall application on close if you so wish)
Post the ESET scan results.

Hello,

Nothing major really.

ESET is finding stuff in your downloads folder--> C:\Users\Tina\Downloads I would navigate to the folder and clear it out. There all potentially unwanted but not causing issue or creating high cpu / memory use.......

Then

ESET is finding items here--> D:\TINA-PC\Backup Set What is the back up set ?

The bad stuff has already been Quarantined.

I do see 1 program in the downloads folder I'd like to bring to attention: Downloads\advanced-systemcare-setup.exe

That's the set up file for the program advanced system care. Meaning if you double click it, it will start the install. Most of the files in your downloads folder are set-up files. I don't recommend these programs or any program that claim to optimize windows. They generally cause more issues then they resolve, and even a bigger problem is where you download these programs from. They can install a lot of additional adware, this is how most users end up here from downloading programs like this. Also some of these programs have registry cleaners and they should never be used. It's really difficult for a registry cleaner to actually know what entries are needed and what entries are not. A broken registry is after all, a broken windows.

You're welcome.

Happy New Year :)

A few more things to do:

Download Security Check by screen317 from Here or Here
Save it to your Desktop.
Double click SecurityCheck.exe and follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.

NOTE: If SecurityCheck aborts and you get the following message: UNSUPPORTED OPERATING SYSTEM! ABORTED! try rebooting the system and then run SecurityCheck again.

Post the:
checkup.txt log

Thanks
Joe :)

Hello,

Your Java is out of Date.
Due to multiple security problems with Java we are now recommending that it not be installed unless you absolutely know you need it. If that is the case then you should go in to Control panels, Java, Security and set the slider to the highest level.
Latest version of Java is Here

Thanks
Joe :)

No I don't need the lastest version of Java.

The current version that I have is good enough.

Do you need Java ? Most people don't need it. I uninstalled mine 3 years ago because of security vulnerabilities with Java and have had no issues. That's what I'm trying to say un-install it. If you find you need it then you can get it back by downloading the latest version.

If there are no further issues lets remove our tools that we used.

Download DelFix by Xplode and save it to your desktop.
  • Run the tool by right click on the 51a5ce45263de-delfix.png icon and Run as administrator option.
  • Make sure that these ones are checked:
    • Remove disinfection tools
    • Purge system restore
    • Reset system settings
  • Push Run.
  • The program will run for a few seconds and display a notepad report.
    Paste it for my review.
