Welcome back.

Adding a discrete GPU would get you the most performance, but need a little more info please.

What is the brand/model of your current PSU?

what would be your budget?

In which country would you buy parts?

Gday.

Thanks for the info. Given that the PSU is 300W and does restrict how powerful a GPU can be used without replacing it and the budget, your GT 640 is almost on the button.

There is a card that fits in just above the GT 640 and before you need a higher wattage PSU, > http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-2.html

Either of these cards, > http://www.gigabyte....&pids=5320,5113  bfound one, but pre order > http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-gigabyte-gt-730-5000mhz-gddr5-gpu-902mhz-384-cores-vga-dvi-hdmi

Or this card, > http://www.amazon.co...#productDetails

What input ports do you have on your monitor?

i only have vga , and also does that mean i cant get a gt 640 because of my psu WATT. the reason i ask this is because i can go today and get a gt 640 and its cheaper and it also has same watt requirement as the gt 730 and if it get too much i will buy a new psu in future for it

is the gt 640 compatible with my MB??

There are some GT 640 that may be OK for your PSU, Please give the brand/model number of the one you are looking at.

Almost any video card would be supported by your MB, the limitation would be, does it fit inside the case and is there enough cooling.

http://www.geforce.c.../specifications

If you look under the standard display connectors the gddr5 has vga and ddr3 doesnt and in the picture of https://uk.webuy.com...640A#.VKFWZV4gA it has a vga connector

Sorry, cross post, just looking.

That looks like the reference card on the right of this page, > http://www.geforce.c.../specifications

and would be OK for your upgrade.   The one on the left might be OK.

Can you get some more info from the seller?
