dos version doesnt work.
one of my friends recommended is take a linux live CD, boot it, mount the windows disk, and copy what you if the filesystem is still intact that way. Might be a strategy to try here.
but it could be that combofix might have really just deleted everything.

Worth a shot I guess. You could also try one of the programs that recovers deleted files. But it should be run from a USB drive or CD and not installed on the PC.
