I cannot access the tools function in IE because if I click on the Symbol for tools it partially freezes. The web pages are still functioning, and navigating within them is OK. All IE control buttons are instantly frozen so nothing can be accessed.
Anyone got Ideas ?

Go ahead and reinstall a fresh Copy of IE using the link provided below

I have tried to re-install a new version for windows 7, but it always stops and reports that it cannot proceed because my version is a later version.
