OK so when Norton ends I should buy what? And is it safe to assume I can use sites we've used during this process? Avast is free or I must buy it. Better to get it in stores?

Avast can be downloaded here https://www.avast.co...NE&locale=en-ww

You can but it online or in store if it is available (i've never seen it)

To add or change home pages

  • On the Start screen, tap or click Internet Explorer to open Internet Explorer.

  • Go to a page that you'd like to set as a home page.

  • Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, then tap Settings.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the bottom-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, then click Settings.)

  • Tap or click Options, and under Home pages, tap or click Customize.

  • Tap or click Add current site, edit the URL if you'd like, and then tap or click Add to make the site one of your home pages.

The next time you open a new browsing session, this site and any other sites you've set up as home pages will load automatically.

There is no personal information or passwords displayed here, apart from maybe your username on your PC which is not unique.

Please add your av protection, make sure it is updated and do a full scan.

Avast is installed. Icon on desktop. So I shouldn't install Norton back ? Two av s not good right? And when I decide to run bitdefender etc, I should remove avast or any other
protection yes?

OK will do a full scan in a little bit. Sounds like we're finishing. Can I look for you here from time to time?

If you have installed Avast then there is no need to run bitdefender, Avast can handle the scanning, we use the online scanners to mop up for traces left over or as a differential scan.

Yes we are all done now.

If you need further help, just post a new thread in the forum. Old ones get closed and can only be reopened upon request to a moderator.

This was something else. Interesting to say the least but so very complicated for a non expert. Thank you so very much for help and serious patience. Thanks also for the
education . Will return to read about donating.
