Internet Explorer hangs when starting up

I am unable to start IE. Have tried to resolve by following the instructions to correct the HKEY_CURRENT_USER, MS Article#298096, but am unable to complete as step11. "right click ShellNext value then delete", as am not seeing this value. Can someone please help... :tazz:
