You can download your wireless/Bluetooth drivers from here and install. I thought we did this already though but maybe not. Go ahead and try.

I was assisting on this topic to try and diagnose your crashing issue which thanks to you appears to be resolved now.

At this point I am going to suggest that you post a topic for your networking issue in the Networking forum. The experts there have much more knowledge in this subject than me. If there's nothing else I'll go ahead and close this topic.

Thank you.

Brian,
Actually, I went out to dell's website to look at the drivers. One of them in my device manager is from 2006. By installing from the link you gave me, would that automatically change the driver or are the drivers the Microsoft drivers. If you recall we took out the drivers and let left it to the Microsoft drivers.

How long will this incident be available to read? Maybe I can go through the logs and find what I need. You have been great help. It wasn't when we couldn't solve it did I start think what changed and when. I don't have the expertise that you and the others that help have. I'm a retired systems engineer. Developing systems, I did use a little of C and C++ . Most of my work was in Cobal and Dbase. Problem solving, finding the error or errors in developing systems was part of my job. I did read Dumps.
Thank you for your help,
Ann

They are the Dell drivers for your specific machine. Back in Post#61, you apparently tried to install the Dell drivers from the link I provided and said it was just stalled and didn't finish. I wonder if you try again with the link I just provided if it would work. I assumed you tried this after my last post and said that they still didn't work but it appears that's not the case. Give it a try.

Thanks for the kind words. I tried my best but ultimately you were correct in your suspicions so you did a fantastic job.

This post will be here indefinitely. Not sure when or if they ever archive them.

Since removing the Genie, the install went to completion. No worries though, I'll remove the devices and reinstall the drivers. I'm pretty sure it was a setting in the Genie. I'm not going to reinstall it. They do have Genie apps for mobile devices! . May at the. Very least I'll read the manual. I hate when I can't figure a problem out. Too bad the code isn't open source.
Thanks again, Ann
