:tazz: I was wondering why posts that are brand new will have a zillion hits and responses and why another (like mine) get few hits and no responses. Something I've done wrong in my post or protocol?

Hi there and welcome to GeeksToGo!

Posts are answered in no certain order. Some Staff members are better with specific infections than others, and they only work on those threads. Some of us work on only new posts, some on only four or five day old ones, and some people do a mixture. There are some Experts who ONLY look for newer/difficult infections to work on...so they can work up a "fix" for them.

Rest assured you haven't done anything wrong. No one overlooked your posts on purpose. We all have different methods of answering posts, but we all do our best to not overlook anyone! I'm afraid it does happen at times, due to the sheer volume of people needing help, and only having so many hours in the day.

You're in the hands of one of the best with bananafanafo! She'll get you fixed up in no time!

The best thing anyone can do is to be specific about your problem in both the title and description. Using your two topics as an example:
1. "aim.exe and backdoor.trojan, incessant pop-ups "

2. "Does anything look wrong?, very slow going, but popups have stopped"

Number 1 is much better, it gives immediate clues as to the nature of the infection. Number 2 is too broad, but still better than "here's my log". :tazz:
