I just got an LG smart phone (with Android 4.4) and installed my yahoo email account on it. It works well  ...but with this odd behaviour.

When I send myself an email from my desktop pc, not only do I see it in my LG inbox (as I would expect) but I also see the message in the LG SENT folder.

Can someone please explain that to me? Thank you. ... batpark

Hi batpark :)

I think it's a normal behavior if you ask me. I get the exact same thing in my Gmail account, this is how it works. When you send an email to someone, that email will always be kept in the "Sent" box if it's present, even if you send it to yourself. The mail service doesn't "care" who you send the email to, and if it's to yourself, it'll still keep it, that's how it works :)

Aura, Peter Carlos: Thank you both for straightening me out.

For some reason I <thought> that a message sent from one source (say my desktop pc) would show in the Yahoo SENT folder of only that source. But I see now that there is only <one> SENT folder associated with my Yahoo account and that a message sent from any source (desktop pc, iPad, or smart phone) shows up in that same SENT folder, and shows up all of the sources.

I appreciate your patience.   ... batpark

All your emails are linked to an account online, which means that all the folders are "centralized" and contains the same information. This applies for "base" folders, like Inbox, Sent, Drafts, etc. For custom made folders, it depends if the email provider you use supports the synchronization of such folders or not.

And no problem bat :)
