I would reinstall Windows if I were you. Via the Recovery DVD or a clean installation, it's up to you. And if you're missing drivers after, the links are still on the 2nd page to download and install them.

Hey Marge, just checking up on you to see if everything was good here. Did you reinstall Windows and if so, is everything working just fine now? :)

Sorry I didn't get back to you.  After a discussion with a friend he said he thought my hard drive was going. I took it into Tigerdirect and after diagnosing it the hard drive was unable to read data. The drive had been  installed in May and had a 2 yr warrenty.(It was a 500 G WD) Contacted them, they sent a new hard drive. It was installed and Windows was reinstalled and is working now. I did have to install 4 drivers you had given me the links for and we're up and running.

Want to thank you again and was wondering how to rate you - I notice you have excellent reputation points. How can I add to those?

That's really good to know Marge! :) As long as your Windows is up and running, there's nothing to worry about. Reputation points are added by voting up on posts, by clicking on the little green arrow in the bottom-right corner of a post, like shown in the screenshot below.
