Mixing PC3200 with PC2600 memory?

I'm about to buy a G5 with PC3200 DDR SDRAM....i have some left over PC2600 DDR SDRAM from my G4. I assume PC3200 is the exact same, but a bit updated. Will i have any problem mixing these two? They're all factory installed from Apple. Thanx!

I don't know about Apple, but in the PC world you could do this but the ram would run at the lower speed (2600 vs 3200). There is of course, no guarantee that they would be compatible in a PC. You should probably check the motherboard manufacturer's approved RAM specifications before you try this.
