Welcome to the forum.

You have it all.
This may take several steps so please be patient.

First, please move HJT into its own permanent folder so backups can be made.
example: C:\MyHJT\HJT.exe or C:\MyDocuments\MyHJT\HJT.exe

Open Windows Explorer & Go to Tools > Folder Options. Click on the View tab and make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked.
Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and untick "hide extensions for known file types" . Now click "Apply to all folders"
Click "Apply" then "OK"

Download and unzip the KillBox to a folder - we'll use it later.

Please uninstall these programs, they aren't recommended programs to be on your system - link below explains:
http://www.spywarewa...nti-spyware.htm
Spyware Vanisher
AdwareAlert
Security iGuard

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

Please download Nailfix from here:
http://www.noidea.us...050515010747824
Unzip it to the desktop but please do NOT run it yet.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

For additional help in booting into Safe Mode, see the following site:
http://www.pchell.co.../safemode.shtml

Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on Nailfix.bat. Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

Close ALL programs down, leaving ONLY HijackThis running.
Place a check against the following items:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = res://C:\DOCUME~1\GARRY\LOCALS~1\Temp\se.dll/spage.html
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = about:blank

O18 - Filter: text/plain - {F9BD5334-A1E5-4630-AE57-9207477D5341} - blank

Click on Fix Checked and exit HijackThis.

Now open up the KillBox and copy and paste each one of these in and hit delete, if the file exists, it will appear in blue under the window. If not move on to the next file.

C:\windows\100089.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\winldra.exe
C:\WINDOWS\services\svchost.exe
C:\windows\hta4.hta
C:\WINDOWS\System32\yaemu.exe

Now delete this file, you'll have to search for it.

wuamgre.exe

The KillBox creates a folder called "!submit" in C:\ , after you are done you can delete the folder.

Now please run Ewido, and run a full scan..

Restart your computer in normal mode and please post a new HijackThis log, as well as the log from the Ewido scan. MrC

Looks like you nailed it!

To clean up a bit, these are from Microsoft AntiSpyware helper and have no file associated with them.
If don't have it on your system any more, have HJT fix them.

Close ALL programs down, leaving ONLY HijackThis running.
Place a check against the following items:

O9 - Extra button: Microsoft AntiSpyware helper - {50672DA2-5DB8-4C27-B666-D553D8D5A369} - (no file) (HKCU)
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Microsoft AntiSpyware helper - {50672DA2-5DB8-4C27-B666-D553D8D5A369} - (no file) (HKCU)
O9 - Extra button: Microsoft AntiSpyware helper - {6574FC82-3CED-4B1F-8C86-F5DCC6A587E7} - (no file) (HKCU)
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Microsoft AntiSpyware helper - {6574FC82-3CED-4B1F-8C86-F5DCC6A587E7} - (no file) (HKCU)
O9 - Extra button: Microsoft AntiSpyware helper - {94D6E640-F7A7-4FA7-8DC5-2D2A46F94E9E} - (no file) (HKCU)
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Microsoft AntiSpyware helper - {94D6E640-F7A7-4FA7-8DC5-2D2A46F94E9E} - (no file) (HKCU)

Click on Fix Checked and exit HijackThis.

If you have any questions, please post back, if not

I'll leave you with........

Some preventive maintenance:

------------------Must have or do:-----------------

Now that you're clean: <----Important Step!!!!
Delete your system restore files and create a new restore point:
(ME and XP users only)

XP system restore

ME system restore

Visit Windows Update and install all the lastest critical updates.

Install these two free programs, they sit in the backround and protect your system from spy and adware being installed on your system, also from your browser being hijacked. Check for updates weekly.

SpywareBlaster

SpywareGuard

IE-SPYAD
Puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone, so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.
IE-SPYAD

SpyBot has some protection benefits - use them.

Need a free anti virus?
AVG*free
(check for updates - daily)

How about a firewall? The front door to your computer.
ZoneAlarm*free

----------Free malware removal programs:----------

SpyBot
AD-Aware
CW-Shredder

Free Online Trojan Scan

A SQUARED FREE TROJAN SCANNER

Trojan Hunter
TrojanHunter - free trial

Please consider using FireFox instead of Internet Explorer

Replace Java with SunJava

Pop-up stoppers:
GoogleToolBar
Pop-upStopperFree

Disable Windows MessengerXP - 2K (stops pop-up ads -etc):
Disabling Messenger Service in Windows XP
How to Remove Windows Messenger on Windows XP
How to Remove Windows Messenger on Windows XP
Shoot The Messenger

Don't open e-mail attachments without first scanning them with an up-to-date
anti virus program, even after doing that I would be very careful. Don't click on any executables in e-mails or any other links that you're not sure of.
Watch your surfing habits, don't click on or download anything you're not sure of. Don't install a program that hasn't been recommended by a reputable organization.

Good luck and thanks for using the forum - MrC
