Hi jool :)

Does it happens only on one computer, or does it happens also on every devices connected to your router? If you connect to the router using a wired connection (Ethernet cable), does the connection still drop?

Hi Aura, it happens on all the devices connected.  My son's PC is connected to the router by Ethernet and his disconnects too.  We have been having this problem for weeks, nothing appears to help.

Thanks for your response

Is it possible to tell us what router you have (brand and model), and also where it is located in the house and if there's any other devices close to it like phones, microwaves, etc.?

Its a Netgear, difficult to say what model as it was sent by our ISP and all it has is their name on it.  It's brand new though, previous to this we tried two other routers - problem exactly the same, internet kept dropping.  The router is not close to any other devices, it has been in this position for quite a few years now and nothing has changed.

There's either a connection issue between your ISP and your house (the router), or there's interference with the router that is being created and it's disturbing the signal. Is it only the WiFi that have issues, or even the wired connection (with an Ethernet cable)?

I don't think it's interference, the router has been in the same place for years.  We are changing ISP on Monday, hoping that may help.  thanks for your help again

No problem. Well let me know on Monday (or maybe after a few days starting Monday) if you still have the issue. If not, we'll consider this as solved.
