With Process Explorer it doesn't ask you, you have to:

 

Wait a full minute then:

 

File, Save As, Save.  Open the file Procexp.txt on your desktop and copy and paste the text to a reply.

 

I'm surprised that msconfig didn't show up.  Perhaps it doesn't on Diagnostic Boot.  It does show up when you do something else.

 

 

 

Right click on (My) Computer and select Manage (Continue) Then click on the arrow in front of Event Viewer. Next Click on the arrow in front of Windows Logs Right click on System and Clear Log, Clear. Repeat for Application.

 

Reboot.

We still have the firmware error.  I wonder if it the old BIOS worked better?   See if it will let you back up to the A13.

I have downloaded the file to a usb drive but cant seem to get it to load when I boot from the USB drive. It does appear a bit quicker, I also uninstalled Google Chrome earlier today as it was the only thing I had added at the time I installed avira A/V

This is what was wrong with mine showing the same AC charging problem..

The end of the plug that goes into the computer has a very thin post in the center. Just by chance I noticed it was not centered and not allowing it to plug into the computer properly. I re-centered this thin post inside the plug (make sure unplugged from the wall), plugged it back in and all is good! I now make sure I very carefully plug this into the computer as it is a very fragile thin post centered inside the end of the plug that doesn't take much to bend to the side

 

 

 

There is also supposedly an option under Advanced in the BIOS.

  I went into the BIOS and under the Advanced tab there was an option for "Charger Behavior". That was disabled. I set it to enable, rebooted and now the battery is charging.

 

 

And under Power Options is also something on the Battery.

 

 

Also this:

 

I just removed the battery pack and powered up my notebook. Then I turned off the notebook replaced the battery pack and VOILA. The error message was gone.

 

 

 

 

 

Finally it could be that the power supply is not strong enough and needs to be replaced.

 

To get it to boot from the USB you have to change the boot order in the BIOS.
