XP facility that remembers passwords

Re that facility in XP that pops up in left top corner of screen and asks whether one wants a password remembered. How does one use that facility to <RECALL> a forgotten password? Thanks.

you can't use it to recall a lost password....like, you can't "read" the password to know what it is. it will just enter the passwords for you when you go to the place that you saved the password for

Is that part of XP or is it part of the browser?

For example, Mozilla has a stored location for the passwords that you want saved.

It is under Tools/security/ saved passwords
