A quick question.  Should I be using Revo or Add/Remove Programs to remove Programs and Software?

It's up to you to be honest. It's always good to use a powerful uninstaller to uninstall a program, since it ensure that no remnants are left and therefore you'll avoid issues with future reinstallation of the program or any other conflicts that could happen. However, if you uninstall your programs properly via the "Add/Remove Programs" panel, it'll do a good job on its own too. I usually use Revo Uninstaller to uninstall programs that cannot be uninstalled or that I want to be gone completely from my system.

There's also Total Uninstall that works quite well, althought less popular:

The trial version is their free version and should fit the common user needs as well.

Hello, I am having a problem trying to uninstall programs to make room.  Somebody directed me here.  Im not the most computer savvy but learn quickly.  Please help  I have a tiny Gateway laptop that is saying I do not have enough room to back up my iphone.  Im getting a new phone so i have to back it up.  It is giving me an error code of 1711 when I manually try to uninstall unused programs on my computer.  :)

I'll ask you to create a new thread to not hijack this one muskie. If you have a problem to uninstall programs, please post in the Windows section that matches your Windows version.
