As N.Y.er's say, What's up ! Not familair with working with these All-in-one PC's as never had one, would not even know what PSU looks like in those. I am pretty good at hardware issues.

The hard drive on this plugged in like an 8 track tape-no ribbon cable. The other power supply was not for this model. I put the hard drive in my machine. I was able to access it. So I'm waiting for her to bring some flash drives to transfer her data. Just 40 GB's of mostly family pics and some music. Unrelated to the power problem-she had three Trojan Horses-all gone now.

Never felt it was the hard drive. Power supply, monitor and motherboard is possible. With these all in ones, not sure myself how to go about some of those items.

Yeah I didn't think it was the hard drive either. All of her data fit on a 32GB flash. I told her I would hold on to the machine if she wanted to try another power supply.  Yeah I've never fixed a mother board or monitor either. Late reply a little under the weather.

First thoughts if you are getting power but no picture, it would usually be either the monitor or video card. With these all in ones have probably one power light on monitor. Color differences in power light can tell you some things.

Hard to test certain components on this as it's All-In-One. Also try to troubleshoot this with the manufacturer of PC, thought i linked the sites to you, i am not sure of the warranty status of this PC.

Would not suggest new drive or reinstalling windows, as the problem is no picture possible power or motherboard issue, it won't probably help you.

Under the weather, sorry to hear, i am fed up with weather here lately !!

Possible voltage issue with Power Supply or motherboard, yes replacing this on system like this, i am not even sure of and is it worth it for this type of system, if it is this.

If I remeber correctly it was an amber colored power light. She came to get it today-so it's out of my hands-for now. You did give me a link thank you. I don't know her warranty status either.

Thanks-feeling almost back to "normal". Yeah I'm not a big snow fan. She's bringing her laptop tomorrow. Network connection issues will be a welcome change and quick fix!!

Network connection issue, can't even see an image, Well talk to manufacturer if there is a warranty, also they sometimes can diagnose it for you, but if not under warranty anymore, not sure how you will go about that.

Find out what Amber means. What was regular light color, green ? You said this back at begining so am not sure, The green/blue(?) power light stays on

No-two separate issues. I believe the original power light was green-but she took back the all in one so we can close this-Thanks. if she wants to let me look at it again I will find out about the amber light. Yes it does stay on.

She brought me a Win 8 Laptop that couldn't connect to her network. She had the Proxy server check box checked. So no more problems for now!!

Sorry for the late reply-again. Thanks for everything! The laptop was rather easy. I did ask her to contact her manufacturer about the all in one. But I think the warranty has run out.

It's o.k., we all are busy at times. My knowledge is good, never dealt with All-in-One before, hard to diagnose something when they are limited in ways to test each component, since it being an All-in-One.

Monitor, video card, board or power related in some way. Monitor and video card first, because no picture, but some kind of power being shown. Good luck, if need more help we are here !!
