I just downloaded itunes to my husband's computer for this. I bought a second hand mini ipad that locked me out so now I'm trying to do a restore from itunes. Itunes says it is not the most recent version and I need to download it again. I have downloaded it on my son's netbook first when that didn't work I downloaded itunes to my husband's hpUltrabook. Can someone please help mewith this stupid ipad?

What model mini iPad and is it running Ios 7 or above? If so, the anti theft measures that came in with ios 7 will require the original Apple ID that it was originally set up with to re-activate it. It will show you that an Apple ID with part of the info shown, (like S****.@R***.UK), or something) and request that you fill in the full ID plus the password before re-initializing. Unless you know this info, the iPad will stay locked and Apple you not help you unless you can produce proof of purchase...
