I downloaded the Secunia Software Inspector.  But when I open it, it gets stuck on the Loading.... screen.

That's weird. It still didn't open?

How do I keep Outlook from loading up on Startup so I dont have to keep rejecting it?

1. Hit CTRL-SHIFT-ESC on your keyboard to bring up Task Manager.

2. Click the Startup tab.

3. Find Microsoft Outlook/Office and right-click on it and select Disable.

Let me know if this works.

I highly suspect it's Norton 360 blocking it. Can you temporarily disable Norton 360 to see if it works?

Do you have your registration information for Norton 360 so that if you needed to reinstall it you could? If so, I'd like to completely uninstall Norton 360 to see if it resolves the issue. Up to you.

No on either.

And the uninstall is done.  Secunia is still stuck on the Loading screen when I click on it....

Going to reinstall Norton now

Before you re-install Norton, can you try uninstalling and re-installing one more time?

Ok, uninstalled Secunia without Norton 360, then reinstalled Secunia.

No progress.  Still on Loading when you start it...

Continuing with the Norton reinstall...

Unfortunately it sometimes happens that certain software simply doesn't install properly on some machines. There could be a myriad of reasons for this. My suggestion is for you to use a different program for this. Go ahead and uninstall Secunia and install the following instead.

Step#1 - Install FileHippo App Manager
1. Download the installer from here. Note: When you click the link ensure you click on the following green button. There are other download buttons that are advertisements for other software so be careful.

2. Go ahead and install and accept all the defaults.
3. Click the "Show hidden icons" up arrow in the lower right corner of your screen by your time. Right-click on the FileHippo icon and select Settings.

4. Click the Results tab and click the Hide beta versions option to put a check mark in it. Click OK to exit the settings screen.

5. After a few minutes, if you have any outdated software a notification will come up.

6. You can click the notification bubble and a web page will open showing you the programs that need updating with links to download them.
