I have a Windows 7 Laptop, when I turn it on it says START NORMALLY ok, then it powers up then I LOGIN then the screen goes BLACK and nothing else apart from a [bleep] Magnifier.

If I rarely get a TAB up its from Windows and its almost out of sight at bottom of screen.

There is no normal screen, no START menu, No Icons/Desktop or Toolbar.

Windows seems to be installed okay.

I was hacked over 6 months ago and they took remote control of my mouse after that I didn't try to use my laptop until 2 days ago and this is where I am at.

Occasionally I can manage to get to Google but it takes effort and time and its not coming up as it's meant to, I am so frustrated.

Please please can anyone help me, I've tried allsorts and exhausted different things.

Need your help otherwise Im just going to throw it out :-(

See if you can get into Safe Mode:

(Reboot and when you see the maker's logo, hear a beep or it talks about F8, start tapping the F8 key slowly.  Keep tapping until the Safe Mode Menu appears and choose Safe Mode with Networking.  Login with your usual login.)

If you can then try and get FRST and run a scan:

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

  •
  • Right click to run as administrator (XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File). When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.
  • It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from.
  • Please copy and paste log back here.
  • The first time the tool is run it generates another log (Addition.txt - also located in the same directory as FRST.exe/FRST64.exe). Please also paste that along with the FRST.txt into your reply.
