Hi,

I was using Word 2010 when my computer shut down to install updates. I lost the most recent version of the document (saved as .doc and not .docx) and found it in the form of a .asd file. I scoured the Interwebs for solutions, and tried them with no success. The main and most relevant solution was to open Word, go to "Recent" and click on "Recover Unsaved Documents" in the lower left-hand corner. No luck.

Has anyone had success with this type of situation? If I send you the .asd file in a private message, could you open it?

Thanks for any advice or help you can offer.

Cheers,

Dan

Hi Dan :)

I guess this is the article you stumbled across?

Looks like there's multiple ways to go about recovering a "lost" or "unsaved" Word document.
