1. Make sure your PC is set to show all hidden files and folders go here for instructions on how to do this. http://www.xtra.co.n...1916458,00.html

2. Boot into safemode to do this keep tapping F8 on your keyboard while your PC is starting up you will get a menu select safemode.

3. While in safemode open Hijackthis and click scan. Then tick and fix the following in Hijackthis with all windows closed except Hijackthis.

4. Delete the files. (if present)

5. Go to start, run type "services.msc" with out the quotes find the service.

System Startup Service

Right click and stop it, make the start up type to disabled. When you have done that go into Hijackthis > open the misc tools section > delete an NT service and delete SvcProc.

6. Open HiJackThis. It should open to a "New users quickstart" menu
Click "Open the Misc Tools section"
Click "Delete a file on reboot..."
In the "Enter file to delete on reboot..." window, navigate to:

C:\WINDOWS

And select the file

Nail.exe

Then click Open. After you click Open, HiJackThis will ask you if you want to restart your computer now. You do, so click Yes.

7. Then post a new Hijackthis log here in a reply.

Please download Nailfix from here:

Unzip it to the desktop but please do NOT run it yet.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

For additional help in booting into Safe Mode, see the following site:

Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on Nailfix.cmd. Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

Next please run HijackThis, click Scan, and check:

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe

Close all open windows except for HijackThis and click Fix Checked.

Also look in C:\Windows and delete any file that has an icon of aurora.

Open Hijackthis again while in safemode and make a new log

Boot back into normal mode and post the Hijackthis log you made while in safemode here in a reply.

how do I do send the file, as an attatchment?? Do I search for the name?? If it keeps changing how do I know what it has changed to.

Look in c:\windows\system32 it should be there.

Open Hijackthis click scan look for the 04 that has r on the end and that should be the file send it as an attchment.

OK found it and attached it, but it said I could not upload a file w/that extension.

It's an exe file

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [mcwohg] c:\windows\system32\vlsmuux.exe r

Hello, can you first move your hijackthis from your temp-folder to a permanent folder please?

Then, post a new hijackthislog made in safe mode, because it seems like you reinfected again.
