Yes i have lightshot installed i already deleted the skillbrains adware and my lighshot still works.  I found the product keys, but im not going to wipe my system if i don't have to. I would really rather not put any more money into this computer it is just holding me over. as for the Puppy Linux, I will look it up!

Everything that you would need for a non_destructive reinstall of the OS is at the link I gave, includes Puppy Linux instructions) > https://www.winhelp....-windows-7.html

It will not cost you anything, just your time.

Important.  The above is a suggestion to help on the thread, Do not just go ahead and start making more system alteration (deleting or installing) until Phillpower2 comes back and gives you instruction as he may have decided on a different strategy.

Is your product key 5 blocks of 5 letters and numbers?   Don't post it

Thank you for the additional support iammykyl and Nev respectively

Leroyman,

What our colleagues have suggested is 100% the exact same path that I would propose, to condense this;

1: Use Magical Jelly Bean keyfinder (free) to obtain any/all product keys that will be needed for Windows 7 and any other possible software. (Done)

2: Back up all important data from the HDD using Puppy Linux, to keep things uncomplicated follow the steps here rather than any alternative.

3: Perform a Non-destructive reinstall of Windows 7 again following the steps at the link that iammykyl kindly provided for you.

As already said, the above will only cost you your time and if done correctly will resolve all of your present computer issues.

You are welcome.

We will look after you, but lets do steps one at a time then post if you have problems and when you have been successful,

All good then for the Windows Key.

A slight hiccup.

Microsoft has stopped all downloads from Digital Rivers and any related site.

all links on the Web, except this one, will not work, > http://www.microsoft...ftware-recovery

Please go there, have a read, then post back.

Hi iammykyl,

I may not be understanding you right.. I have read all your posts and also that link you posted. My only concern now it looks to be only Microsoft Office, I am confussed if i will be able to get that back as well? I use Microsoft Office for Schedules so that would need to be a must.

(Update) - Not sure if this is useful or not but i just found a file saved onto my desktop that was not put there by me. Or well, I did not mean to put it there if that makes sense? It is labled  Old firefox data  http://prntscr.com/6cp062 It has all kinds of stuff in the file that may be why my computer is acting up

http://prntscr.com/6cp1l2

http://prntscr.com/6cp5lg

If you need more info on it please let me know i just thought maby this would save time and trouble of going through all the new windows 7 stuff. Just a thought?

By the dates it was made and the dates all went to [bleep], looking at the dates of this topic and its posts it all fits together..

http://prntscr.com/6cqj2r

I looked it up and it says it is from me resetting my firefox, but i have not reset my firefox, Ever! So i guess if it sounded to good to be true it probably was. Pfff i thought i figured it out! :)

Gday.

Any alterations to FF would not haver caused these problems.

Please confirm theat the product key for Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 is 5 sets of 5 lette?number

Does the windows 7 backup still work? if yes, please use it, then test the backup to make sure it works.

It is asking for my (Product key) is that the same as (CD Key)???

http://prntscr.com/6d7dib

My Product ID: for Office shows the numbers like this, Not the same numbers but in this combination, 12345-123-1234567-12345

Should i just break that ID into 5 number blocks and enter it in the Product key?
