Here is the VEW txt log for application
Not sure what happened. It does look like it might have run
sfc /scannow but the other stuff looks like it is eating its own text.
Did the sfc /scannow
run for a while and then say it was able to fix all files or that there were none that needed fixing? Then we don't need the
findstr /c:"[SR]" \windows\logs\cbs\cbs.log > \windows\logs\cbs\junk.txt notepad \windows\logs\cbs\junk.txt
If you do need them then they should be copied and pasted not retyped.
Assuming the sfc ran OK or even if it didn't go on and do the VEW logs.
There seems to be something still going on, when i opened this post ( before logging in) there was an advert in the middle of my last post, a video about some diet, thats not normal is it ? when i logged in it was gone.
here is the output log
Here is the application log,
There are ads on Geekstogo. You just don't see them after you login. So that is normal.
I use the AdBlock Plus add in for Chrome, Firefox and IE and I never see ads.
Go to adblockplus.org with your browser and install it. Once you install it there is a Stop sign icon in the top right of the browser. Right click on it and select Options some well-behaved ads. I always uncheck the box where it says: Allow some non-intrusive advertising.
Looking at your errors:
Log: 'Application' Date/Time: 12/03/2015 1:29:43 AMType: Error Category: 0Event: 10 Source: Microsoft-Windows-WMIEvent filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

This one is normal if the Wired connection is not used because you connect wirelessly. You can disable the wired connection in Network and Sharing Center or just ignore it.
Type: Warning Category: 0Event: 73 Source: Microsoft-Windows-PrintSpoolerThe print spooler failed to verify printer driver package Brother DCP-115C USB Printer for environment Windows NT x86. Win32 system error code 2 (0x2). This can occur after an operating system upgrade or because of data loss on the hard drive. The print spooler will try to regenerate the driver information from the driver store, which is where drivers are saved before they are installed. No user action is required.
Even tho it says no user action required - something is not happy so if you use the Brother printer I would uninstall it, download the latest software and reinstall it.
Log: 'System' Date/Time: 11/03/2015 6:18:09 AMType: Error Category: 403Event: 412 Source: Microsoft-Windows-TaskSchedulerTask Scheduler service failed to launch tasks triggered by computer startup. Additional Data: Error Value: 2147942402. User Action: restart task scheduler service.
This is usually caused by CCleaner which I see you have installed. They had a bad version that did something awful to the tasks. I would uninstall CCleanerso it doesn't do it again.
I don't know of a magic fix for this. It can be fixed but it's a pain. Unfortunately it needs to be fixed since the task scheduler is at the heart of windows.
First make sure you can see hidden system files:
Maybe you will be luck and just have one error. If that's the case it's probably the task in Defrag. For some reason it likes to fail even without CCleaner.
Sorry, but when i try to copy and paste System32 file folder to my desktop, many of the files will not transfer because it says they are being used elsewhere. also when i open Task scheduler there are three panels so i am not sure which you mean. also when i open the system 32 file that i copied without the files that couldn't be moved, i can not find just tasks, there is taskeng.exe, there istaskkill.exe. taskmgr.exe taskschd.dll etc. but no Tasks folder.
Sorry. I thought I had fixed that. It should be make a copy of C:\windows\system32\tasks not c:\windows\system32
The above shows task scheduler opened to the first of the Microsoft, Windows folders. The tasks are in the top middle pane. Forgot about the garbage on the right.
Morning, well i managed to get it right this time ( i hope) but going through and comparing tasks in Task scheduler and tasks folder there were a couple in tasks that i deleted but there were no errors showing in Scheduler at all even though i closed and reopened it a couple of times, When i checked Chrome extensions there was another advertising extension there which i deleted, don't know where they are coming from.
What exactly is the Chrome extension that you are seeing?
Let's see if things are better now:
The Chrome extension is a shopping thing, don't know what it is called because i deleted it, if it comes back i will take note of what it is called.

You don't get any errors when you open Task Scheduler or when you go through the folders?
Did you reinstall the Brother printer?
Download the fix.zip file and save it. Right click on the file and Extract All which should give you a fix.vbs file. Right click on fix.vbs and Run As Administrator.
This should correct the Application error.
Yes i deleted and downloaded the updated program for the printer, I opened the fix.vbs file, there is no option to run as admistrator just open. It said it would delete the object i said OK then another window opened with some files when i again said OK i got an ERROR access denied.?? The file that opens says Windows Script Host.

Not sure what happened with the vbs. I don't have Vista any more so can't test it. I got the program from:
https://support.micr...5?wa=wsignin1.0
The error is just a nuisance so it's nothing that has to be fixed.
Are you able to print?
