If you could get into safe mode you could access the floppy and copy the file over to C:\Windows\system32

Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread but, I've got this problem too.
I've read this page: http://support.micro...kb;en-us;330184 (very helpful),
however we did not get a Windows CD when we bought our computer.
Apparently, you are supposed to make one yourself.

Now we've borrowed a Windows XP Professional Recovery CD (We've got Home Edition), but we can't get it to work.

Can you use a Professional CD with a HE system? I guess this is the problem...

Anyway, when I start the recovery console,
the only available Windows Installation is "J:\MININT", which I guess is the recovery CD itself.
Does this mean the old installation is all screwed up, or can it just not find it?

Thanks for any answers :/
