Hi

Everything worked fine and then in the taskbar there was a RED "X" on the kXaudio icon and the sound disappeared.

I tried a few things and decided to finally Uninstall and then Reinstall and now I cannot find a download.

I'm using Windows XP.

Does anyone know how I can get my sound back - please?

Thanks

Ok. Thanks for the link.

I downloaded it and it is installing. It's a big one - 8.556 GB's.

There are a LOT of drivers. And I don't know which ones to select so I hit select all, which seems a bit much ...

Should I stop and go back and select the drivers or continue.

If so which ones?

Download the smaller one, the one you are downloading is for offline installing. The small one will detect which drivers are missing and install for you. As far as the drivers you listed they all should work, they are just different versions. I am not so sure about that site you posted though.... Anything that you download from there you should scan at Virus Total before running on your machine.  https://www.virustotal.com/

So sorry!

I guess I did not save the last post.

I downloaded the smaller one and it is installing the selected drivers for my PC.

It about 15 or so minutes to install.

Then I will restart and post here how it went.

Will do rock.

Cuz I thought I would need to get an install CD for this OS to fix the drivers.

So I am excited that I can download and install them now.

The install is moving right along.

:yeah:

I use this program when I work on computers for friends family, it is a time saver, I hunt the ethernet or wireless drivers and then let this program do the rest. :)

Ok. They are all installed.

And sure I would love to speed up this fossil.

Thanks!

:spoton:

PS I am a Mac person and have been for ages. So this gift of an old Dell took some learning to get it up to speed.

I figure as long as I have it I might as well max it out for optimal use. Because of the model this is the latest OS I can put on it.

Download Autoruns and Autorunsc Unzip it to your desktop and then double click autoruns.exe After the scan is finished then click on File>>>>>>>>>>>Save The default name will be autoruns.arn make sure to save it as Autoruns.txt under the file type option. in other words make sure it is a .txt file instead of .arn Attach the text in your next reply.
