You must double click to the enable .reg file and merge it then reboot, :)

I actually do not know what you mean.

The file you downloaded from this link. Download EnablePinToStart Registry Hack

Unzip it to your desktop. With this software http://www.7-zip.org/a/7z920.exe

Now after you unzip to your desktop then double click .reg file named enable. Select merge/allow merge. Reboot your machine. Find the folder you were speaking of, right click it and select pin to start menu.

Ok. I got to merge and selected it. I went to the folder I want to pin, right clicked on it but there is no "pin to start menu."

It's frustrating. :smashcomp:

What keeps popping up are pop ups about moving it to the registry.

I am missing something to do and I don't know what it is ...

So I found this - http://www.askvg.com...-xp-vista-and-7- and I tried it and it worked and it moved the folder to the Start menu but not where I want it.

So I dunno this is such a hassle. So maybe we should just forget it that is unless you can see what I am doing wrong. I surely appreciate all your help but this one I just cannot make work.

The weird thing is that I did this once before but I have no idea what I did. :upset:

PS I did reinstall 2 Dell programs - Dell System Detect and Dell Support Assist and then I could find the Registry Editor and punch in regedit and

it was there.

Yeah! :prop:

This old fossil is SO much faster. I just restared and it's now 21 seconds (the first time was 11 seconds) - the 360 pop up reads - which is Super Fast. :yeah:

So thank you SO much for helping me. I really, really appreciate all that you have done and now we zip up this thread.

Seriously - THANK YOU!
