I have recently gotten a DVD burner and started trying to save thins in DATA format. However, everytime i try to burn a disk (of any kind, not just data) I get the following message

Communication Failure

(Helpful, huh?)

It lets me save a log file of the burn, here is a cut and paste of the latest.

I have made sure that the cable is 80 pin, the drive reads and installs software just fine. I have tried to install a firmware update from the manufactures web page but i get an error that says it cannot corectly find the firmware.

I am stumped at this point.

Thanks...
