I have cable connection and my pages are loading very slow. I posted a hijackthis log about three weeks ago, and geek support member thatman helped me clean my computer. but now my computer is loading pages very slowly and i keep getting messages like waiting for site i did an adaware scan and a ewido scan and i ran spybot as well i also ran cleanup and the computer is still running pretty slow so heres my hijack and thanx in advance Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1

I'm having problems connecting to the internet. I was deleting some files out of windows media player and in the middle of doing that i tried to connect to the internet and i recieved this message, Windows cannot access the specified device path or file you may not have the appropriate permission to access. I can't go into any programs on my side, i'm able to leave this message on my wife side please help if you know what this might be thanx in advance. If i can do a hijack i will post it

And was there a particular reaosn for you not to update Windows and IE to SP2?

hi metallica i downloaded sp2 a while back but had all kinds of problems so i uninstalled it,also i'm not 100% what i should be looking for in my logs i saw a lot of things that were blocked but i'm unsure what i should do to remedy this problem. As for not being able to access any programs, this has happened twice and everytime it has happen i was in the middle of deleting files in windows media player and after deleting files in media player i ran cleanup both times after deleting the files in windows media player. After logging out i was unable to access any programs if you can shed any light on what my problems might be it would be greatly appreciated thanx in advance

Well it sounds as if you have two firewalls running or maybe one that wasn't removed completely.

Can you give SP2 another go?
Only once you are ready, turn off the built-in firewall as shown here:
