Hi,

I need help fixing my wifi issues. I am thinking that there is something that is creating a conflict with my adapter because sometimes my internet connection works perfectly and then there will be days when I can't connect at all. I will get messages regarding the adapter driver. Sometimes the ralink adapter isn't even listed in the device manager. Sometimes I will have to go to the registry and change permissions to every ralink related entry to show full control again.

Let me know what I need to do first.

Hello mcash,

Some questions to help us get started with troubleshooting your issue:

1) What is the brand/model of the computer?

2) What OS are you running?

3) Did it ever work properly?  Or was the connectivity issue something that started after having the computer for a while?

4) If so, did anything change between the time it worked perfectly and when you first noticed the issue? (update drivers, hardware/software installation, etc?)

5) Does the problem persist when using a wired connection?

6) Does this problem occur with all wireless devices, or just the PC/laptop in question?

Edit: Rockmilk posted a response while I was typing.  Feel free to follow his instructions and answer my questions as well.  =p
