So I play in a band and what I would like to do is create a Word document containing all the lyrics, chords, notes, ect. I would like all the songs to be in alphabetical order and maybe have a little footer at the bottom containing the name of the song and the page number (of the song, not the entire document). So far I just have a random bunch of lyrics, separated by page breaks, with the tittle at the top of each song. I thought it would be fairly easy to figure out how to create a new header after each page break and then have Word organize it for me but it has proved quite challenging. I even emailed the professor I had for "Intro to Micro Computers" but he couldn't think of anything either.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have access to both Mac an PC, if that helps. Are there any programs, besides word, that might be better suited for this?

I came across this freeware programme that may be of use called Songs LaTex Package.
