ok my disk drive wont read ANY DISKS, EXCEPT the frist one u put in after the computer is rebooted!.... and i want to install D2 witch it a multy cd installation... wut is going on

how old is the drive itself, I've got one that must be about 10 years by now that used to do the same thing, but then it stopped working except when it wanted to, so I got so frustrated I hit it and bent the front in. My only suggestions would be to take it out (make sure the computer is unplugged and unpowered) and dust the laser lens with an alcohol swab, after that if it's still not working, don't hit it and bend the front in.

thanks, but its not really that old, itys almost brand new... but ill try that dusting thing, thanks alot ill get back to u if its still being a boob .. and i wont hit it
