After a Windows XP system-level restore (no user data destroyed) using HP's F10 recovery partition - and after applying SP2 from CD - the Security Center won't allow me to turn on the Auto Update - and when I try to do the Windows Update from the browser myself, it hangs on the first window. It's kind of amusing that the attempt to turn on the Auto Update in Security Center advises me to go to the Security Center and turn Auto Update on ! Wadaya think ? Bob.
