My friends phone battery died during a update to Lollipop. The sync wont work. He has a Nexus 4. He can't access the play store or sync his phone to his computer. Anybody have an idea of how to fix this? As always, thanks in advance.

If a factory reset doesn't solve the problem, it's bricked.

I have been able to get it to recognize on my computer, was able to backup the data on my computer and did a factory reset. It is working still.
